Having overtaken the top spot as New Jersey’s most trafficked, legal online poker site last month, WSOP NJ has initiated two new promotions for the month of February. One is aimed at cash game players, aptly titled Cash Masters. The other will appeal to low-stakes tournament fans, who can now take part in the brand new WSOP Mini Fest of Poker.
Cash Masters promotion from WSOP NJ
In its elucidation of this new online poker promotion, WSOP NJ was quick to admit that their reasoning behind the launch of Cash Masters is to give their members a reason to make visits to WSOP.com a part of their “daily routine in February”. For avid grinders, it will be an easy task, but for recreational players, earning enough Action Player Points (APP) to make the grade will take a little more effort.
Up for grabs to all who qualify are free $10 tournament tickets and WSOP.com branded T-shirts. All one has to do to claim that prize is earn enough APP at their chosen stakes limit. But be warned—once you choose a stakes limit to compete for, only APP earned at that level will count towards qualifying for a prize, and only one stakes level can be selected per player.
This is not a leaderboard promotion, and there is no limit to the number of players who can win. Select a stakes level, earn enough APP at those stakes in February, get the prize; it’s that simple. The respective stakes levels, required APP and prizes are as follows:
Prize for Qualifying | ||
1 $10 Tournament Ticket
1 $10 Tournament Ticket + a WSOP.com T-Shirt
1 $10 Tournament Ticket + a WSOP.com T-Shirt
1 $10 Tournament Ticket + a WSOP.com T-Shirt
Note: As per the terms and conditions, “This promotion is only available to players at the Player, Copper, Copper+, Bronze, Bronze+, Silver, Silver+, Gold, and Gold+ loyalty levels.” |
Mini Fest of Poker at WSOP NJ
Dubbed the “biggest little tournament series of the year” WSOP.com is hosting the Mini Fest of Poker all throughout the month of February. What makes the Mini Fest of Poker so exceptional is that—as the name implies—all of the buy-ins will be small enough that any online poker player, with any bankroll size, will be able to participate. All events will carry an entry fee ranging from $1 to $20 max.
One event will be held each day at exactly 6:00pm ET for a total of 28 events, guaranteeing a total prize pool of $20,000. In addition, players can earn a spot on the Mini Fest Leaderboard, where players can win free tournament tickets and/or WSOP.com branded merchandise.
The largest prize guarantees will occur on Fridays and Sundays, generally paying $1k or $2k GTD and featuring buy-ins of $5 or $10. Smaller buy-ins and guarantees are sprinkled throughout each week. The only breaks in the pattern occur on Monday, Feb 16, celebrating President’s Day with a special $10, $2k GTD, and on Friday, Feb 28th, wrapping up the series with a $20, $4k GTD bang.
The online poker series kicked off yesterday with a $5, $1k GTD and continues today with a $1, $300 GTD. You can view the WSOP NJ Mini Fest of Poker Full Schedule here.
